Meet Sorathorn Wangnitsuk, the Bangkok-based independent artist better known as Sibeclop. Bringing his signature blend of uncanny, playful, and pop-surreal design to Thekapco’s Artist Collection, Sibeclop builds imaginative worlds and characters that spark curiosity and emotion.
The Evolution of Sibeclop
The name "Sibeclop" was born from a playful twist on the word "Cyclops" while creating his "One Eyed Guy" character series. With a background in ICT and a Master’s degree in Animation, Sibeclop's journey as an artist truly accelerated in 2021. Since then, his detailed line work has evolved into physical exhibitions and collectible art, leading to award-winning recognition and large-scale displays at the prestigious Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC).
Introducing 'The Golden Door' Keycap Collection
For his collaboration with Thekapco, Sibeclop introduces The Golden Door, a design centered around opportunity, chance, and the mystery of what lies ahead. The concept was born from a personal experience of missing out on something important. Ultimately, the artwork serves as a comforting reminder: missing one chance isn't the end of the road. There are always new doors waiting for those prepared to open them. Because this underlying message was so clear, Sibeclop notes that translating the concept from a thumbnail sketch into a finished piece felt incredibly natural and effortless.
Hidden Depths in Pop-Surrealism
While his art style leans heavily into the strange and playful, Sibeclop's work is always anchored by deeply personal emotions. He draws inspiration from everyday situations that are difficult to explain—like the quiet awkwardness of people having good intentions but expressing them uncomfortably. He channels these complex, real-world feelings into his surreal landscapes, hiding profound meaning beneath vibrant, accessible visuals.
Unlocking Discovery on Your Desk
Custom mechanical keyboards are tools we interact with for hours every day, and Sibeclop wanted to turn that daily routine into an engaging experience. The Golden Door is filled with intricate, hidden elements tucked into its landscape. By strategically mapping these small details onto essential keys—like Enter and Caps Lock—the design transforms ordinary tech accessories into a canvas. It invites the user to experience small moments of discovery during their daily workflow.
