Growing directly from his inspirational picture book, You Are Not Alone!, this design follows the story of a child seeking true friendship. The artwork features a child in a diving suit—a symbol of braving unfamiliar, deep feelings to find hidden treasure.
Nalok.Lok chose an underwater world to mirror our inner emotional depth. The design is packed with meaningful details:
- The Jellyfish: Representing tenderness and transparent honesty.
- Soft Gradients: Echoing the calm, steady rhythm of breath and ocean tides.
- Hidden Symbols: Tiny details like shells reward you for slowing down and looking closely.
Starting as a rough pencil sketch, the piece was brought to life in Procreate. During the process, Nalok.Lok spent time meticulously testing gradients to perfectly capture that calm, breathable underwater atmosphere. (He even experienced a "happy accident" along the way, pausing his work to research how jellyfish actually grow and behave, discovering entirely new facts to incorporate into his art!)
